Kathmandu - Lhasa Tour

Day 01, Kathmandu ? Nyalam: Welcome to Kathmandu-Lhasa Tour. On your arrival at Kathmandu, you will receive a warm welcome from TFI?s team. After arrival, our representative will drive you to Nyalam which is situated in Tibet near Nepal Border. On the way, you will stop at Kodari which is Nepal-Tibet border and complete the immigration formalities. The distance between Kathmandu to Nyalam is near about 135 kilometers. Upon your arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the evening, explore local area of Nyalam. Later enjoy dinner and then stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 02, Nyalam ? Lhatse: After breakfast, you will move to next destination of the tour that is Lhatse. The distance between two places is near about 309 kilometers and takes approximately six to seven hours to reach. On the way visit Milarepa cave and then continue journey. You will pass through Lablung-La pass and also through one of the old town of Tingri. Upon your arrival, check-in at the hotel. Later enjoy the dinner and then stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03, Lhatse - Shigatse: Enjoy the breakfast in the morning and then leave to Shigatse. The distance between two places is near about 145 kilometers and takes around four hours to reach. On the way, visit Sakya which is one of the largest monasteries in Tibet and also Natang Monastery. Upon your arrival at Shigatse, check-in at the hotel. In the evening, explore surrounding areas of your hotel. Later enjoy dinner and then stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 04, Shigatse - Gyantse : After breakfast, you will leave to visit Tashilhunpo Monastery. Later move to Gyantse which is 93 kilometers away and two hours journey. On the way, you will get to explore Shalu Monastery. Here at Gyantse, travlers get to explore the places that include of Khumbum, Palkhor Chode Monastery and Gyantse Dzong. After dinner, stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 05, Gyantse - Lhasa: Today after breakfast, you will move to Lhasa. The distance between two places is near about 304 kilometers and takes around six hours to reach. On the way explore turquoise lake (Yamdruk Tso). You will also cross through high altitude passes like Kamba- La, Karo La and the Yarlung River (Brahmaputra). Upon your arrival at Lhasa, enjoy the dinner and then stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 06, Lhasa Sightseeing: The 6th day of your tour will go into exploring the famous attractions of Lhasa. Some of the famous places to explore include of okhang temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Potala Palace and many other places. Later in the afternoon, visit Norbulinkha Palace which is the summer Palace of Dalai Lama. In the evening, local explore markets of Lhasa. Later enjoy dinner and then stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 07, Lhasa Sightseeing: Another day also you will spend in exploring Lhasa especially famous monasteries. Enjoy the breakfast and then visit Drepung Monastery. In the afternoon, enjoy the lunch and then visit Sera Monastery and Tibetan Museum. The evening is leisure, you can choose your own activity. Later in the evening, enjoy dinner and then stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 08, Lhasa (departure): Your ?Kathmandu - Lhasa Tour? comes to an end here. After breakfast, TFI?s representative will transfer you to the nearby airport where you will board a flight for further destination.
